Manilkara zapota or commonly known as Sapodilla is a slow-growing evergreen delicious tropical fruit bearer hails from the family of Sapotaceae in the genus of Manilkara. The fruit is sand colored with a skin similar to a kiwi but without the fuzz. Fruiting commence five to eight years after planting and occurs twice a year, though flowering may continue all year round.
